Compliance codes review

Comments are now invited on the following two proposed compliance codes (proposed codes) that align to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 (OHS Regulations):

The proposed codes include changes to streamline content and bring them into line with the OHS Regulations. A summary of changes to the two proposed codes can be found here.

Submissions will be accepted from 1 February 2018 to close of business 28 February 2018.

Public comment: November to December 2017

From 8 November to 6 December 2017, the following two proposed compliance codes (codes) that align to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 (OHS Regulations) were made available for public comment.

Thank you to everyone that made a submission. All submissions, unless confidential, can be viewed here.

WorkSafe will consider feedback received and update the codes where appropriate. It is anticipated the final codes will be made available once approved by the Minister for Finance, Robin Scott MP, in mid-2018.

The codes include proposed changes to streamline content and bring them into line with the OHS Regulations. A summary of changes to the two codes can be found here.


Public comment: May to June 2017

From 1 May to 9 June 2017, the following eight proposed compliance codes were made available for public comment.

New OHS Regulations have commenced

The new OHS Regulations and Equipment (Public Safety) Regulations 2017 (EPS Regulations) commenced on 18 June 2017.

Resources are available to assist you in understanding the new OHS Regulations and EPS Regulations and what the changes mean for you. This includes summaries of the changes and comprehensive guides comparing the 2007 and 2017 regulations, which are available on the WorkSafe website.
